Teryn is a Senior NC Teaching Fellow at UNC-Charlotte triple majoring in Spanish, Psychology, and Education. She is in her year-long internship at Sun Valley High School where she will be student teaching Fall 2005. She plans to attend graduate school to obtain her Master’s and Specialist degree in School Psychology from Winthrop University and has already been offered a graduate assistantship. She wants to obtain her doctorate as well. She plans to teach Spanish at the high school level and then become a bilingual school psychologist.
Teryn has studied abroad extensively including: the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany to participate in a comparative analysis of schools between Europe and the United States, Spain for a whole semester to perfect her second language, Costa Rica for a month and a half to study Latin American culture, as well as traveled to England, France, and Ireland.
Teryn has strong, practical tutoring experience and has completed many observations, clinicals, and field work at schools in Charlotte Mecklenburg, Union County, and Cabarrus County. She has worked as an Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist for autistic and developmentally delayed children, as well as a coach/mentor at a sports camp for children.
